Morning Devotion: Strength

He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.
Isaiah 40:29 NKJV

They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. His strength is made perfect in our weakness.

There are many promises in the Bible regarding strength and we need to believe for them. Strength not just in the natural but spiritual, mental and emotional strength as well.

In believing God for strength we must realize it is not our strength but His strength. Philippians 4:13 says we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. But what exactly is meant by all things?

Philippians 4:11-13 NKJV “Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

No matter what you’re facing you can know that you have the strength to endure and overcome. The strength God gives is a strength that endures in times of seeming defeat. Trust in Him and His strength and He will bear you up.
