“Comfort ye, comfort ye My people, Saith your God.”
Isaiah 40:1 KJV

The comfort of His people has always been a priority to God. Not comfort as in a life of ease but the comfort of knowing God is there, that He is watching over us and that the Scriptures guide us.

When Jesus was talking with His disciples at the last Passover meal they would share together He told them He would send the comforter, the Holy Spirit to be with them.

John 14:26-27 KJV “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

The comfort of God also brings with it peace. Philippians 4:6-8 NKJV “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”

We have a Comforter that never leaves us. We have the Scriptures that are always a light unto our path, we have a God who always hears us and a Savior who is always making intercession for us. Be at peace knowing that whatever you may face, the Comforter is right there with you.
